Memorial Day - A Dead Youth Pastor

Today is our day to remember the men and women who have died while in military service to our country.

In addition to that, I wanted to take a moment to remember and recognize those who have died in service to the Kingdom of God.

In 2007 42-year-old pastor Bae Hyung-kyu was murdered by the Taliban while leading volunteers in humanitarian aid in Afghanistan. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the death of the South Korean youth pastor and he was found with 10 bullets in his head.

Reading this reminds me of how Barbaric our faith in Jesus is to be. Truly, the safest place to be is the will of God.

Right on point Joe!
The real tragedy is more people have been martyred for Christ in the 20th century than all other centuries. Maybe it's me but I don't read anywhere... Torah, Talmud or New Testament that we'd get any recognition for giving our lives. Sacrifice as a lifestyle bro... that is the divine in the daily! Thanks for bringing that to the forefront. I am going to pray for his family and church.
Shalom
